An Ominous Figure Called “The Watcher” Is Forcing a Family Out of Their New Jersey Home

When Derek and Maria Broaddus bought their New Jersey dream home for $1.3 million in 2014 they had no idea how badly they'd grow to regret the purchase. Almost immediately after moving in they began receiving letters from an ominous person referring to themselves as "The Watcher," which started out weird and ramped up to terrifying.

According to "The Watcher" his (we're assuming this is a man) grandfather "watched" the home in the 1920s, then his father watched the home, and now the duty is left to him. What exactly this long line of creeps has been watching for is, as of now, unknown.

"Who has the bedrooms facing the street?" one of the more frightening letters read. "I'll know as soon as you move in. ... It will help me to know who is in which bedroom then I can plan better."

The Broaddus family, who never fully occupied the house, is currently in the process of suing the town of Westfield, NJ after being told that they can't alter their property to demolish the old house and build two new ones.
