Built in 1925, Hollywood's Knickerbocker Hotel had a certain celebrity status of its own. Originally intended as a luxury apartment building, and then turned into a lavish hotel often frequented by the most famous actors and actresses of the time, Elvis Presley was known to stay there quite often. In 1956 Presley posed for Heartbreak Hotel promotional photos at the Knickerbocker and it's said that his spirit returns there very often.

Sightings of his ghost have been reported in Room 1016, which is a hub of paranormal activity within the hotel. Other famous ghost sightings include Marilyn Monroe, who's said to appear in a particular women's restroom, and Rudolph Valentino.
